Sunday morning
I think more of my winter Sunday mornings should start like this.
It’s 7:30 am and I have bread just starting its bulk ferment and I’m sitting on the couch with a cup of tea and a book.

Things in the garden are officially put to rest for the winter. Just last week, we had a nice day and I couldn’t procrastinate it any longer. I got in there and cut down all of the plants at the soil level, leaving the roots in. We pulled out all the cages and other structures in there. Planting for fall
So I’ve just planted a few things to tide us over later into the fall.
Mainly I wanted lettuces cause they’re easy and love the cooler weather. I planted spinach, butter crunch lettuce, a red leaf lettuce variety.
I also threw in a row of carrots and beets cause why not! Time to put that thinning promise into action!!

Things are really coming along with summer in full swing! I’ve been harvesting a few things here and there and have been able to eat something fresh from the garden almost everyday for the past few weeks!!

The dirt disaster
So this past Friday was the day I could finally go pick up the soil for my garden beds!! Yay!! I was so excited to get it done so I could start planting.
